Chipotle is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and supporting employees with disabilities. If you have a medical condition or disability that affects your ability to perform your job, you may request a reasonable accommodation.
This page provides an overview of leave as a form of reasonable accommodation. Accommodations are determined through an interactive process based on your individual needs and applicable laws.
A reasonable accommodation is a change or adjustment that enables you to perform the essential functions of your job. In some cases, this may include a leave of absence.
All accommodation requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state laws.

Reasonable Accommodation leave is generally unpaid.
Your benefits may continue while you are on leave. To maintain coverage, you are responsible for paying your portion of the premiums for any plans you’re enrolled in.
If you do not make required premium payments on time, your coverage may be canceled. You may also choose to cancel coverage during your leave.
If you return to work, any unpaid premium amounts will be repaid through payroll deductions over time until the balance is fully repaid.
Reasonable accommodations are determined through aninteractive process. Be sure to respond to requests for information andparticipate in discussions to help identify appropriate support.
You may be asked to provide updates or additional documentation during your leave. Timely responses help avoid delays in your accommodation.
We're looking forward to seeing you back!
If you decide not to return to work during your approved leave, you should notify your manager or HRBP at least two weeks before your scheduled return date. If you do not return or attempt to return to work following the end of your leave, you will be considered to have voluntarily resigned as of your leave end date.

If you’re experiencing a medical condition or disability, you may have access to benefits that support your health and well-being:

Some states provide leave benefits you may be eligible to receive. If your leave involves a medical leave or FMLA request, our leave administration partner The Hartford may help identify whether state benefits apply and guide you on next steps.
If eligible, you may need to file a claim directly with your state. Chipotle leave benefits and state benefits may run at the same time and are coordinated so total payments do not exceed 100% of your pre-leave earnings.
